DNA-Encoded Library Sharing Platform

DNA-encoded library (DEL) is a technology that enables fast screening of billions of small molecule compounds in early phase of drug discovery. The aim of DEL technology is to discover novel chemical structures for validation and optimization. DELopen provides free access to DNA-encoded libraries (DEL) for academic users and encourages an open, community-based approach to data sharing

DELopen | DNA-Encoded Libraries (DEL) for Academic Users

DELopen users are able to conduct affinity selection experiments in their own labs, and WuXi Biology is responsible for post-selection processing, sequencing and data analysis. If promising hits are identified and validated, users can choose to disclose their target in exchange for the chemical structures.

  • Free access
  • Well-balanced chemical space
  • Data sharing
  • Compatible with computational tools

DELopen platform is dedicated to the development and application of DEL technology in drug discovery, initiated by WuXi AppTec in conjunction with leading academic researchers.

“With the support provided in this partnership we aim to bridge academia and industry and jointly promote the application of DEL technology in the field of new drug discovery.”

Richard Lerner, M.D. (1938-2021), Inventor of DEL technology & President of Scripps Research from 1987 to 2012

DELopen Services

The DELopen platform provides a one-stop Target-to-Hit service that enables the global academic community to pursue premium small molecule discoveries.

Protein Production

Quick Access | DSF
High Quality
Academic User Friendly

The DELopen compounds library is distributed in the form of a kit to approved researchers / institutions. According to protocols agreed by the compound suppliers, researchers can perform target selection experiments on their own using the kit. Institutions with their own DEL compounds library can also offer their library via the platform to researchers.

After completing target screening operations, researchers then conduct PCR and sequencing, and provide the results to the owner of the compound library. If positive results are obtained, both parties can further communicate and move on to the next stage of cooperation. If the library is provided by WuXi AppTec, WuXi can provide free PCR and sequencing services accompanied by relevant reports.
