Autoimmune and Inflammatory Animal Models

Autoimmune, Inflammatory Disease Models; Gout, IBS, IBD, septic shock, EAE, Rheumatoid Arthritis, MS

Our team of experts has developed in vivo models for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. We offer inflammation animal models associated with neurological diseases, respiratory diseases, arthritis, skin diseases, gastrointestinal diseases and topical inflammation.

Digestive System

IBS/IBD animal models

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is an autoimmune disease caused by a dysregulated immune response to host intestinal microbiota. There are two major types of IBD: ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn’s disease (CD).

Crohn's IBD

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a condition that produces similar symptoms to those of IBD but without GI tract inflammation. More than 5 million people live with a form of IBD and 0.7 billion people suffer with IBS.

Currently there is no well-developed cure for IBD or IBS. WuXi Biology has fully developed animal models for new compound development for both IBD and IBS.

IBD/IBS Models:

Deliverables:

  • Time course of body weight change
  • Disease scores, organ length and weight
  • Blood biochemical analysis, including white cells and interleukins
  • Histopathology scoring of collected tissue
  • Telemetry EMG signaling and analysis for IBS
