Drug-Resistant KRAS G12D Lung Cancer Models

KRAS G12D inhibitors continue to advance, but treatment resistance remains an important challenge. Understanding how that resistance develops is critical to evaluating new therapeutic strategies.

To help researchers study treatment resistance, WuXi Biology has established RMC-9805-resistant KRAS G12D lung cancer models and validated them in vitro and in vivo.

In cell-based assays, the resistant models were markedly less sensitive to RMC-9805 than the parental model. In vivo, RMC-9805 produced more than 90% tumor growth inhibition in the parental model, compared with only about 20% and 10% in the resistant models.

These models offer a practical way to study resistance biology and evaluate combination strategies and next-generation KRAS-targeted therapies.
