
EFMC International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry
WuXi AppTec is pleased to participate in the EFMC International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry (EFMC-ISMC) 2026, taking place September 6–10, 2026, in Basel, Switzerland. The symposium brings together medicinal chemists and drug discovery scientists to explore advances in molecular design, therapeutic modalities, and strategies for discovering and optimizing new medicines.

Join our lunch workshop, “From Library to Lead: Unlocking Peptide Therapeutics with DNA-Encoded and Display Platforms,” presented by Rhys Taylor, Director, Head of Peptide Discovery, WuXi Biology, on Tuesday, September 8, from 12:25–13:10. The session will explore how mRNA display and peptide DNA-encoded library platforms can expand accessible chemical diversity and enable the discovery of novel peptide therapeutics against challenging targets. Attendees will also gain insights into approaches for identifying cyclic peptide inhibitors and targeted peptide ligands, as well as strategies for improving affinity and physicochemical properties beyond those available through traditional peptide libraries.
